Americas Best Value Inn San Antonio Airport South

I’ve stayed here several times now and have had zero issues. Stayed in only non-smoking rooms but they’ve always been well kept and no run ins with roaches . The beds were comfortable enough to get a good nights rest as well. It’s also a safe and convenient location with loads of restaurants in walking distance and quick access to the interstate. Ever in the area and need somewhere to stay , this place is worth the shot . The folks in office are nice and there’s someone always available thru the night if anything is needed for the room or if you need to check in late .

Tl;dr - Americas Best Value Inn is just that - worth the price you pay for a place to sleep. Here are the pros of my stay: - 3pm check-in was quick, easy, and no effort to upsell when paying at the counter. Note, that you put your credit card information in for a reservation, but it will NOT be charged until you validate your booking in person. Not sure what happens if no-show, but shouldn't do that anyways. - Room was clean, no sign of cockroaches or bedbugs, and most importantly no musty/old smell - Shower worked well! Water got hot quick and it was a spacious shower. - Location is unbeatable. Across the highway from the airport, multiple restaurants in the area that are a quick drive or even within walking distance (I recommend Cabo Bobs!), about 10-15 minutes from downtown proper.. convenient location for the price, that's for sure. - Free wi-fi, though I didn't use it and cannot attest to the speed. But, free is free! - AC worked well, but also listed last here because it'll be mentioned in the cons Cons of my stay: - Outlets! There's no convenient outlets near the bed nor the desk where my room was, so make sure your electronics are well charged or you'll be without them in your bed, as the only unused outlets are next to the sink - Noise. Walls are extremely thin, and you can hear a lot. Being near the airport is great, but the sounds of the planes overhead, cars on the highway, and (for first floor guests) the people above, you can hear it all. So, wouldn't recommend if you're sensitive to noise - Lighting isn't the best, but is good enough for what it's worth. Could use a lamp near the bed, but with no outlets it definitely makes the already cheap room feel more dingy despite it's cleanliness -AC was awkwardly situated blowing straight onto the bed and was LOUD (adding to the noise). Was glad it could cool the room, but definitely the most annoying thing when trying to rest. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this establishment as a place to SLEEP. It does not have the most convenient set-up and amenities to stay long term within the room (lack of plugs makes electronics difficult to keep charged if in use), but if you are venturing out a majority of the time and only care for a place to crash at the end of the day, then I'd say the bang is worth the buck. Would only recommend short stays (1-2 days) as any longer you're better off upgrading. Quick overnight or two stay though? Save the money elsewhere and book here. Location made dinner plans easy, price was a good deal compared to places double that in the surrounding area for a weekend stay (paid $75 for a Saturday > Sunday), and it was far from unpleasant. Friendly service, a little slow on checkout, but they have a ring doorbell and a number to call if you wait too long.

Honestly the service is 10/10 very informative, ask of anything and they’re more than willing to assist. The rooms are clean and decent not fancy, they’re exactly what you pay for keep that in mind. The beds are supported by a metal frame that’s quite sturdy and in my mind to avoid bed bugs which is understandable because had absolutely no issues with bed bugs. Although, randomly a small roach was on my husbands shoulder when we were in our room but I think it was just because we came from outside up the outside stairs and it got on him and we haven’t seen anymore after killing that one in the room or the walls or the beds so thats great. I’m extremely sensitive with roachs and bed bugs so just grateful we didn’t see nothing crazy like that in the room. The outside looks a bit rough but honestly if you can look past that for the price then you’re good.

Get place and nothing fancy, but the room and everything in it was clean and neat. Ac unit worked great and was very comfortable. Plenty of parking and easy in and out. I will definitely book again.

Owner is a very good guy. Stayed for business trip and he always accommodated me. Nothing fancy but clean rooms and good service and can't beat the price.

Highly recommended! I got a good nights rest here. It is across the street from Taco Palenque and Chesters burgers. There is also Frontier burgers 2 minutes away.

This was a great stay! The rooms were large clean and smelled good. We had just spent the night before at the Hilton palacio del rio and paid almost $400 a night and our room was smaller and smelled of sewage and they did nothing to correct it. This motel was a HUGE upgrade from the Hilton in cleanness, smell and size. We will definitely be back!!

A++ Hotel Checking in was super fast and easy . Right next to the Famous Magic Time Machine Restaurant literally walk next store for dinner and go back to the hotel and pass out lol. Non-Smoking room smells so good very clean I’ve been to many hotels this year have to say this one was excellent and top ones .I slept very comfortably, from bed to the AC perfect temperature. Shower was great too. For only $80 and free parking on a Saturday night during Christmas weekend in San Antonio can’t bet that deal compared the to rest of the local hotels. Thank You for last minute late night stay made our night sleep a pleasant one for sure :)
